Specialist Music PPA Provision for Primary Schools

Consistent. Curriculum‑Led. Ethically Delivered.

We provide specialist music teaching delivered as part of PPA provision, offering primary schools a high‑quality, reliable alternative to non‑specialist cover and short‑term supply.

Our approach supports:

  • dependable PPA release
  • consistent, specialist teaching for pupils
  • a coherent music curriculum rather than ad‑hoc cover
  • long‑term partnerships, not rotating agency staff

our offer

We deliver curriculum music through PPA provision, taught by experienced specialist practitioners who understand both classroom practice and musical progression.

Core features:

  • Specialist music teaching delivered as PPA provision
  • Consistent practitioners wherever possible
  • Curriculum‑aligned lessons planned in advance
  • Central coordination, safeguarding and quality assurance
  • Delivery across 38 weeks of the academic year

Provision is tailored to school size:

  • 1‑form entry: 1.5 days per week
  • 2‑form entry: 2 days per week
  • 3‑form entry: 2.5 days per week

A Bespoke, Joined Up Music Curriculum

We don’t deliver off‑the‑shelf lessons. Every school receives a bespoke music curriculum aligned with:

  • the National Curriculum for Music
  • the school’s curriculum intent and values
  • pupils’ prior experience and needs

Curriculum strands may include:

  • singing,  rhythm and pulse
  • notation, listening and musical vocabulary
  • composition and improvisation
  • ensemble and performance opportunities

Should schools wish to offer instrumental teaching or music clubs, these are integrated into the curriculum, creating clear progression rather than separate activities.

Planning, Assessment & Reporting Built In

  High‑quality teaching requires proper preparation.

Our provision includes:

1.5  days of dedicated planning, assessment and report‑writing time.

This time is used to:

  • map curriculum progression
  • agree learning outcomes
  • align assessment and reporting with school systems
  • Ensure our provisions fits with your needs

This ensures provision is planned, consistent, and accountable.

Staffing, Safeguarding & Quality Assurance

  All Buzz Music practitioners:

  • are experienced specialist music educators
  • hold Enhanced DBS checks
  • are safeguarding trained
  • are supported and quality‑assured by Buzz Music

Buzz Music retains responsibility for:

  • recruitment and deployment
  • coordination and communication
  • cover  arrangements where required
  • ongoing  quality assurance
